The laws concerning end of life and post-mortem planning are in a constant state of flux.  Probate laws, Trust laws, Medicaid regulations, and Estate Tax laws are only a few of the myriad rules and regulations in this area that require constant monitoring.  For this reason, any estate plan should be drafted by a professional and reviewed every 5 years at a minimum.

Many of my clients own or have an interest in a small, closely held business.  As simple as these arrangements appear on their face, they mask a complicated tax and liability regime that needs to be reviewed by legal counsel in order to adequately protect the small businessman and businesswoman.

The relatively recent profitability of real estate investment attracted many of my clients, only to discover that this area, too carries with it a vast array of legal and tax implications.  Over the years I have helped my clients purchase, rent and sell holdings as varied as multi-million dollar commercial properties to privately financed sales of rural mobile homes.
